TIFFANY FOXX is all levels of gorgeous, stylish, ultra-sexy, down-to-earth, and of course a super-talented femcee on the rise in the ever-evolving world of Hip-Hop music. As the protege’ and flagship artist of legendary Platinum-selling rapper Lil Kim and her label Queen Bee Entertainment, Foxx has quickly gained respect from her industry peers for the unique skills she displays on the mic – most notably with her participation in one of the ‘cypher crews’ during the 2K13 BET Hip Hop Awards, which she said was ‘definitely an honor to be a part of.’
TIFFANY FOXX upcoming mixtape release titled “KING FOXX: RULE BY DECREE” promises to be a lethal potpourri of unfiltered realness that will without a doubt separate her from the current competition of rappers – both male and female. We at PSM briefly chatted with the St. Louis, Missouri native during her most recent visit to New York City.
PSM: How would you define the TIFFANY FOXX brand of Hip Hop musicality?
TF: My brand is defined as ‘Street Couture.’ I’m very raw, uncut, unfiltered and unapologetic. But anything else I talk about, I definitely incorporate fashion, no matter what. I LOVE fashion, and it’s just time for us girls and those who’ve been through a lot of adversity to have a voice and relate. We can have fun and all that, but the Rap game needs someone like myself, who is really spilling their guts and showing you how to get through life.
How did the initial connection with bosstress Lil Kim come about?
She came to my hometown St. Louis looking for a recording studio, I made that connection happen for her, and from that point on, we just built a nice relationship. I never thought that we would be friends, that she would be my ‘big sister,’ that I would be signed to her label (Queen Bee Entertainment), that she would be my business partner. I never thought any of these things would happen, and it just did, both organically and timing-wise. When we met, I didn’t shove my music down her throat. She has definitely given me a crash course on work ethic and professionalism, and Kim is a perfectionist and very talented.
