After the passing of iconic three-time former world Heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali back on Friday, June 3, 2016 at the age of 74 after a lengthy, courageous 32-year battle with Parkinson’s disease, the entire universe has lost one of the more popular, entertaining, fascinating, compelling and authentic individuals to ever exist on Earth. Yes – the beaming pride of Louisville, Kentucky was a brilliant, one-of-a-kind, highly-competitive athlete in the square circle during his younger days, but his accomplishments as a philanthropist and a humanitarian outside the ring is how The Greatest should be remembered for a lifetime all around the world.
Just his humbleness, his unfiltered confidence and love of self and his family, the bravery that he displayed through all of the adversity have planted seeds of positivity and empowerment in our minds and catapulted our collective souls that we can achieve anything in life – no matter what skin color, religion, race or sexual orientation we are to be. That there’s a winner and champion within all of us if you strongly believe in yourself and your capabilities, no matter what obstacles you face in life. That’s what Muhammad Ali exemplified – Strength, endurance, and courage. Ali is gone in flesh and blood, but best believe that his legacy will be forever eternal.
