Aleja Bennett - A SENSE OF HOPE

Author/Poet/Singer/Songwriter Aleja Bennett has overcome the past adversities of childhood abuse, alcoholism and abusive relationships to claim victory through penning and publishing her incredible collection of literary works with popular titles such as ’40 Ways To Please A Good Man,’ ’40 Ways To Please A Good Woman,’ and ‘All I Can Do Is Stand, Parts I and II,’ just to name a few of her books that are primarily geared towards self-help, self-love and self-actualization. Aleja’s personal story of hardship, triumph and redemption has touched so many lives, and is now expanding her brand by currently studying to become a minister at the David House of Ministries in her hometown of Queens, New York City, and has created her foundation ‘STAY STRONG AND STAND’ in order to continue empowering and positively encouraging her legion of fans that are going through the hard struggle in their lives all around the world.

We are PSM chatted with the fascinating, courageous and multitalented Miss Bennett during her downtime to discuss her upcoming projects and more.

PSM: What keeps you inspired to write creatively on a regular basis?

AB: Helping both men and women who are emotionally broken, depressed, suicidal, neglected and rejected. Also empowering women in particular to be their greater selves, inspiring victims of abuse, and teaching self-love and self-worth. I enjoy the healing that it bring for my own open wounds that are still healing to this day.

Why was it important for you to start the STAY STRONG AND STAND Foundation?

It was important for me because my organization will inspire the weak and the hurting to remain standing, especially hearing how I’ve survived with no family. STAY STRONG AND STAND needs monetary donations (log on to www.Aleja.com for information) in order for me to be able to travel around the world and empower the abused, poor and unheard-of talent. It’s also for me to be able to send books out to people who can’t afford to buy them, and to the ones that are destined to be great. I like to reach out to the homeless, adopted, abused, drug addicts, alcohols and suicidal men and women because they are the ones who will become great if they are willing to change and believe in themselves. It gives me the ability to share my story and provide a sense of hope for those going through adversity.

What can we anticipate from you in 2014 and beyond in regards to upcoming projects?

Anticipate my books being recorded on CD, as well as songs that I’ve written that will be recorded in the studio. I’m also currently working on two children’s books titled ‘How Wonderfully Made We Are’ and ‘The Moon Is Watching Over Me’ and three new adult titles – ‘The Energy To Love You,’ ‘The Ministry School From Hell’ and ‘The Inside Scoop of Rikers Island.’
